Sultan Stone Capital ("we," "our") is committed to ensuring our digital services are accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. We believe equal access to financial services is a right, not a feature.
Our commitment
We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. WCAG 2.1 AA is the recognized global standard for web accessibility and is the same standard used by US courts to evaluate ADA compliance for digital services.
We design and develop our website with accessibility in mind from the start, rather than as an afterthought.
What we've done
Our accessibility practices include:
- Semantic HTML markup so screen readers can correctly parse content
- Sufficient color contrast between text and background (minimum 4.5:1 for body text per WCAG 2.1 AA)
- Keyboard navigation support for all interactive elements
- Alt text on meaningful images for screen reader users
- Form labels and instructions clearly associated with input fields
- Responsive design that works at varying screen sizes and zoom levels
- Plain-language copy that avoids unnecessary jargon
- Skip-navigation links on pages with extensive menus
- Visible focus indicators when navigating by keyboard
- No reliance on color alone to convey information (we pair color with text or icons)
What we're working on
Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time check. We are continuously improving:
- Adding ARIA labels to complex interactive components as we build them
- Testing screen reader compatibility on JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver
- Reviewing PDF documents we deliver to clients for accessible-PDF tagging
- Improving video captioning and transcripts for any video content we publish
Browser and assistive technology support
Our website is designed to work with current versions of:
- Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (desktop and mobile)
- JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack (screen readers)
- Voice control software (Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Voice Control)
- Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of functionality
If you use an older browser or assistive technology and encounter issues, please contact us — we'll work to support you.
Known limitations
We are honest about gaps:
- Third-party content: some embedded components (Calendly, Stripe checkout) are hosted by third parties whose accessibility is outside our direct control. We choose vendors with strong accessibility commitments but we cannot guarantee every embedded element meets WCAG 2.1 AA at all times.
- PDF documents: historical PDFs in our resource library may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers. New PDFs are being prepared with accessibility in mind. If you need an alternative format, contact us.
- Real-time features (future): as we add live messaging or video calling, accessibility for those features may evolve over time.
